Zeno and the Static Universe
Zeno, the Greek philosopher is famous for his paradoxes - reflecting on math and the static universe. Listen to this one which shows that it is impossible to cross a room and get out: Before you cross the room you have to reach the half-way point. But you can't get there until you have reached one-quarter of the way across the room. And you can't get there until you have reached one eight, and you can't get there until you have reached one-sixteenth and so on infinitely. In fact you can never achieve motion.
Goddamn it but Dead Beat should have lived in 500 BC. Life was infinitely more interesting then.
Thing is, how do you ever finish a poem or a story? Do we even achieve motion?
